| Senior Member Supporting Member | Sold the Z3 Well, the Z3 is gone. man am I ever missing driving a BMW already though. I was able to bank money off the sale, so it's not all bad, but good lord, this new car i have is a pos (as i knew it would be). I picked up an '04 cavalier for next to nothing, but everytime i try to "drive" it i have to just shake my head and laugh. There's no way im going to be driving this thing for long. it's just a cheap car to get me by for the time being while i save up a down payment on a house. So, the real point is... i may consider BMW again very shortly (like very shortly). I've been scouring CL, and there's a few 18i's on there, but im not fully convinced on getting a 4 cyl for hwy traveling. it has been my experience that a well sorted 6 will do very reasonable mileage on the fwy rather than a slightly underpowered 4. probably because you don't have to milk the power out of it in order to keep up with the flow of traffic. i've even considered going for another E36 (gasp) due to the relatively maintenance free motor that doesn't always need tinkering, but people are for the most part way overpriced. if anyone sees anything worth looking at for 5k or less, let me know! |

Mr. Red's pictures | Come take a look at my car, it seems to fit your bill fairly nicely. A little nicer than the crapalier and probably more reliable too. http://www.bimmerclassics.net/forum/...ead.php?t=4477 |

| Member | I've got an e30 318is in not so good condition and I've driven it to Regina and back. No real issues, passing wasn't really a problem. Sustained high speed a bit loud (high revs with a 4.1 diff). I get an average of 10L/100km city and highway. e36 318 might be a different story though... |
