| Guest Posts: n/a | M3 E-30 Suspension geometry ? Hi ! I am desperately looking for the standard geometry adjustments (toe, camber and caster, front and rear) for my M3 E-30. These values seem to be highly confidential for my local dealer ! Does somebody can help ? Thanks a lot ! Best regards, JMP 88' M3 Evo II |

| Senior Member | You mean the ideal numbers, I'm guessing? I've got a printout of my last alignment (after install of H&R 50406, including Bilstein sport shocks, KMAC trailing arm adjusters). I'll dig it up and post. Remember you can't really adjust much on the M3 without some aftermarket parts. The rear is a check only, since there is no factory adjustment. The front is basically just toe. |

| Senior Member | Here's what I've got. Please use at your own discretion. Also consider within the range which items are most important for you (driving style, purpose, etc) and try to work with what little adjustability BMW gave you. ![]() NOTE 16" wheel, 225/45/16 tires. FRONT Camber min -1.20 max -0.20 deg Caster min 8.63 max 9.63 deg Toe min 0.10 max 0.18 deg Turning angle diff. min -2.33 max -1.33 deg For interest, they may be able to record: SAI (mine was 15.46 left and 15.01 deg right). I don't know the ideal for this. Included angle [=SAI+camber] (mine was 14.10 left and 13.77 deg right). I don't know the ideal for this. A good machine will also do this for the FRONT Cross camber min -0.50 and max 0.50 Cross caster min -0.50 and max 0.50 Cross SAI they can record but I don't know the ideal? Total Toe 0.20 to 0.37 REAR Camber min -2.83 max -1.83 Toe min -0.05 max 0.45 Cross camber -0.50min 0.50max Total toe 0.28 min 0.52 max Thrust angle -0.25 min 0.25 max |

| Guest Posts: n/a | Super ! Thanks a lot Chris ! As you mention, front a rear geometries are quite difficult to tune... I will do my best with some of the BMW remplacement parts: For the front axle a + or - 0.5' camber adjustment bushing is available at BMW. For the rear, BMW is selling excentric bushings (same principle as Kmac, but softer I assume) For sure, the funny part will be there to adjust toe without comprimizing too much camber... Best regards, JMP ![]() |
