That car was for sale in Van just about a month or so ago was it not? It's number 36 of 37? Very cool and rare car.

Is it in reasonably good nick? EDC & SLS all present and functional? I remember that the price was astronomical for the mileage compared to what an E45 M5 is going for (or not going for) these days...

There is a BC E34 M5 owners group... We get together every once and a while to burn gas and eat highway... Let me know if you're interested.

You got it almost right. It is #31 of 32 built. I bought it at the beginning of October. Everything is functional, and as for the price, well I guess that is a matter of perception. I thought considering the mileage, @ less than 20,000 km/year average wasn't excessive. Also the car is in exceptionally good shape. Furthermore, in 2010, it will be eleigiable for collector plates, AND, being a limited production vehicle, I can see it only appreciate in value. Last but not least, every E34 M5 I looked at prior to my purchase had similar mileage, and or pricing and or wasn't in as good of shape. This was a one owner car too, which makes the car an attractive buy as well in my humble opinion.

As for burning up gas and eating up the hwy., I'd love to join that group....sounds like fun.

I wasn't insinuating that the price was out of line for what the car is - especially if it is well taken care of. I was only pointing out that it was high compared to what M5s are going for... I was tempted to go take a look at it myself. I've checked out a couple other M540s the years - all high mileage examples.

Did ICBC tell you you can get collector plates? That's a great deal (and very suprising) since it's still it still has a standard E34 540 VIN number.

PM me with your email and I'll get you an invite to the BC M5 group..

From what I understand, limited production vehicles are eligable for plates at age 15....am I misinformed on that?

How do you PM someone here? I've been trying to figure it out but need help!!!!(see, I am computer challenged)
