From the S14 Board

Saw this on the S14 Board. Any one know this car?

Attn: Canadains! Evo 1 imported from Europe! Feeler.

Hi All, I have a 1987 BMW M3 Evo 1 that I imported form Europe and may be forced to sell due to the fact I might be moving to the US and would likely be too expensive to legalize there. It's Alpine White with black full leather. Located near Vancouver BC. Beautiful car, tasteful mods. 145,000KMS. PM me with your Email for pics and more details if interested!

Hmmm.....cough.... "Canadain"?
Wouldn't be suprised if it were actually a euro-specd Japan import. Ditto for the Cosworth MB.

Bring your wallet and good luck.

I looked into this car a bit more and the vin is not an EVO I . Its a German car imported to the UK and then into Canada looks ok but needs some "body work" !?!

I've heard of this car a couple years ago. That's a shame that the body isn't the pefect and it's not a real evo1.

You got any proof it's not a genuine Evo1?

I looked into the vin. number and its not an evo number. I have all the vin numbers of the EVO I cars. All were built in march april 1987 and have vins wilth the last seven numbers starting with 219XXXX I may be wrong about his vin but I did find it in the M3 registry.

I dont want to come across sounding bad about this car, I was just hoping it was a real evo as I am looking to buy a "perfect" example of an M3 (if that is possible) and a true early EVO would have been even better.
