fastbmw's pictures | I'm not sure, my brother sent me this pic years ago and I kept it. I love the car, not the melted bumper part, but the look is just so clean and mean.... It seems to be a mis-mash of parts, Alpina wheels, DTM style mirrors, etc... |

Mr. Red's pictures | [QUOTE=Cacciatore08;32916]I agree this black m3 doesn't really do it for me, I like the classic look... if I had an m3 I'd make it look at close to a Sport Evo... 2.5L/Rim paint scheme (dark grey with silver lips/evo lip and spoiler/ etc... Honestly I'm not a big fan of big rims on E30's... just my opinion.. and I think he should of left the kidneys chrome... the rims can stay but those kidneys wreck it for me like this one ![]() ![]() +1132 Last edited by Blackice; 03-04-2009 at 12:56 AM.. |

| Senior Member | As many of you already know I have E38 740i Rims on my M3 they measure 16x8, and they're pretty much a bolt on upgrade. They really help fill out the wheel arches, and are not overly large ie. 18". The only other rim I was looking at was the E39 540i style 5's which measure 17x8. Both are great looking wheels but personally I believe in the plus 1 sizement, meaning the stock M3 came with 15inch wheels so plus one would put me with a set of E38 16inch wheels. Just my .02. | Senior Member | I have those e39 2piece style fives 0n mine. They are 17x8. I think that is the largest rim that looks good on the car. The 18's just seem to look silly. I mean, this is a 20 year old car and 18 is a little BLING for me on the car. Plus the only way to fit them is 35 series or lower tires which look like rubber bands on the car. E30 M3. I fyou are looking for these rims, look for the e34 version. They have the same centerbore as the m3 and every other bmw except the e39. You need hubcentric rings to fit the e39 version, and they are a pain in the ass. Very thin and easily damaged. |

| Senior Member | D/S Rook, yea I love those wheels too, I picked up a set of e38 wheels for really cheap and they're perfect for me. I'm not sure I want to go bigger yet, how do you like them on your car so far? Do you have them installed yet? Just for future reference should I decide to go bigger.
