I love the e39, I think Clive Owen also made me like it more.

The E34 was a very close second.

I voted e39, but I know I couldn't really handle it at WOT... I could barely do justice to an e28!

I'll have photos of the M535 for you this weekend!

Definitely the old-school E28, I love that car. Carter, I can't wait to see your new car, which is pretty darned rare.

Mine would be a toss up between the E28 and the E39. I love the old skoolness of the E28 but the 400BHP of the E39 would be too tempting.

I voted for the E28. It was built at a time when nobody built cars like that. It took a lot of guts to offer a family sedan developed for the driver. How many cars have that status throughout automotive history? Not many.

These days, everyone has a 400bhp model with four doors, five seats and ten cup holders. Except Dodge, theirs has 425bhp.

Hmmm. Tough one but I only know the E28 M5, I am sure the modern ones are kick ass too. The more I drive the E28 M5 the more I love it. Can't wait for spring when the collector plates go on and the car cover comes off. Damn its a fine car for 1988.

Is there any choice of the e28?
Espiecially with eurobumpers it makes me want to do very bad things!

I think I'd also have to go with the E28.

Granted, I've never driven an E39 so I have no idea what I'd be missing out on in the torque/handling/power-wise dept. (I'm sure there's heaps of it). But after owning my E24 for some time now and giving it the full can of beans on various occasions in the far-off distances of civilisation (where there are real roads to drive on) I'm inclined to nudge my desire towards the old-school choice.

Hey Mark, wanna briefly trade rides during a cruise in the Spring/Summer?

I've only driven an E39 but I'm sure I'd choose an E28.

yes, E34 and it depends on what condition it is in. I could see it selling for that if the engine is pooched.
