New BMW owner 1994 325i in Colorado

Hey all!

I just bought my first beemer!
Like any purchase of older items there are some things needing to be addressed:

- A/C is not working. the buttons dont work and i can only change how fast the air blows...I cannot even change the temp...its on high heat.
- Locks need to be addressed...when turning the key to the right all the doors lock and then returning to the remove the key unlocks them. Have to manually lock doors. Hard to open as well...have to lift handle twice to open driver side.
- Sunroof wont automatically lower the plastic bar to close and will not partially open (pressing forward on button)

Other than that the tranny is smooth...engine is smooth!

Anyone know where i can get an owners manual? I have no idea what any of the controls/lights/buttons do.

Hi Patrick,

Welcome to Bimmer Classics! Great to have you on board with us and congratulations on your new bimmer. From what you've listed sounds like you have a few glitches to work out. With the engine and tranny runing smooth and from the pictures you posted, looks like your 325i is in pretty good shape.

We are working on a new tech manuals section but it is not quite completed yet. I'll take a look and see if we have any manuals for your 1994 325i and let you know if we do.

Again congrats on buying your first bimmer and welcome aboard!

Cheers,

Thanks Scott..guess i could have posted pics here...

Some work I have done since then:
Dip stick O-Ring (lower): BMW 138.00 Self install 2.50

Tie Rods: BMW 687.00 Self install 20.00 (cost of new in package tie rods, full assembly, I found on craigslist!)

AC flush and fill: BMW 218.00 self 25.00 for the kit.

On my way to go look at some new leather seats...350 for a pair!

I did but I am not sure I want to make the mods for them. The seats are from a 2003. They dont come with the rails and the rails arent cheap.

Welcome

Hi Patrick, Welcome to Bimmer Classics website! Congratulations on the purchase of your 1994 325i !. Being that it's an older car it certainly looks like it was well taken care. Thanks for posting pictures! I uploaded one of your pictures to be your Avatar. Enjoy the site!
