Jeremy says: hello!

Hey all,

I've been lurking for a week or so... Probably time I introduced myself properly. So I developed some kind of BMW obsession several years back, but I haven't had the chance to really act on it until now. My first, and current, car is a '92 Mercedes 190E. I'm a pretty big fan of old Benzes except for the fact that they've always leaned a little too far in the luxury direction for my tastes. The 190 is hardly a luxury car by today's standards, but it's certainly not very sporty. Of course it doesn't help that my car has an auto tranny and that it's pretty hard to find a manual Benz.

Anyway, the only solid RWD cars with great handling that frequently come in manual seem to be Bimmers. There's very little Japanese stuff and they've successfully phased out RWD pretty much completely. To be honest, I'm basing most of my BMW knowledge on stuff I've read on the internet, but I don't think I'm off base here (heh, preaching to the choir anyway, eh?).

I'm looking to buy an E36 or a really clean E30 in Vancouver in the very near future, but I'll make a separate post about that. I look forward to having a nice ride to talk about with you folks!

Same here, me and Red have made the change from e30 to e36 M3's. So if you want an opinion of either, just ask.
