325e wont start!

i went to go to work today, and i turn the key and it cranks, and cranks, and u guessed it...cranks, but never would turn over! i checked to see if fuel was reaching the fuel filter and the coil has continuity, i have to check plugs tomorrow but if its not that what else could it be!!!

What I meant was, if you pull a plug, you can see if there is fuel on the plug. IE wet. That would eliminate the Fuel system for the list of problems.

You're in Fleetwood B.C.?

Btw, platinum plugs DO NOT work in an M20. They're terrible. Just not designed to work with an engine of that vintage.

I would suggest taking your car to the guys over at The Euro Shop. Probably about a 5 minute tow from fleetwood. They know E30's inside and out, and they're the only guys I take my BMWs to.

yeah just off of 168th and fraser highway. well those spark plugs have been in there for over a year and hadnt had any problem with them. i got the car running, i struggled at my work ripping the distributor coil and rotor apart to find nothing. then one of the techs said "hey why not try kicking the clutch?" as a joke and guess what? it worked! it runs now but it didnt eleminate the problem as im sure itll happen again.
btw do u know the cross streets for that shop? i could possibly take it by soon

they werent too wet, small amount of oil deposits but overall fairly dry. but like i said earlier i ended up kicking the clutch from a roll and it started, any idea why it worked then but not at a stop? it has nothing to do with the starter cuz it would crank, but mayb it is the fuel, but i know it wasnt gettin any spark from plugs or coil even tho the coil read fine when tested.

Ryan, glad you got your car started!

The address for the shop is Unit 107, 13302 76Ave. If you're on king george (heading west) make a right on to 76 (You'll pass a Canadian tire) and keep heading a few blocks down the street. It's past mountain equipment coop, and in a complex with a bunch of blue awnings on the left hand side. Pretty easy to find. Hope this helps.

Take care,
Andrew Poon
