1988 BMW 325iX - 94,000 kms

Speaking of winter coming...as the title states, our 325iX is up for sale.

It was imported from Japan 2 years ago (euro-spec). Alpinewhite, automatic.

Not even 100,000 kms yet. Is really is in uber-mint condition for a used car.

I have replaced the original shocks/struts with Bilstein HDs. Also put on brand new front control arms while I had it apart, although it did not need them.

Recently I had a new cap, rotor, coil, platinum plugs done as a tune-up - the cap and rotor were pretty bad - rough idle. Now VERY nice.

As soon as I got it I also had the t-belt, coollant flush and water pump done at Park Shore.

It needs nothing except maybe a new headunit (it is currently MD) and a summer set o' treads. I love driving it, but I admit it has been parked way more than I like and it does need to be used - so it will be sold.

Has sunroof, AC, the heated sport seats, heated windshield squirters and door-locks, m-tech leather steering wheel and I think the premium sound package although it is not a stock headunit. No cracks in dash, marks on seats or carpets etc - really does look new. Orig paints shines up at 9 / 10, maybe 1 or 2 small scratches and ZERO RUST.

I only have a set of 15" Kosei rims on near-new Blizzaks with the car. I did not get the stock 15" weaves unfortunately....

I'm asking $9000.00 obo. I have been meaning to take some nice photos - these ones are quite dark and I don't like them but only ones I have here right now.

PM if interested and thanks for looking.
Johnny

Yeah you do.

Love my iX. Basically the same as this car (euor/sport seats etc.) but diamond schwartz.

Throw a 5 speed in that car and have a blast.

Yes, especially 4 door 5 speeds that are not a swap. But there are some, mainly in the states, colorado has more than most states I think.

2 door 5 speeds are easier to find.

5 speed transmissions require a 5 speed specific transfer case (internals are the same except for one part I beleive). They are available though. Got my pair for 450 US, i've seen them for 1000 bucks. There is a company (Eurodepot.com i think) that has 5 speed swap kits for $1900 that include all the parts you need to swap for the ix.

The sad thing is that a lot of these are ending up crushed as people don't realize that the parts are so rare, or don't know what they have. The ix block on the m20 is also different from the non ix block.

The block is a different shape to accomodate the front diff etc. You can do a swap but it is a lot more work than in a non I'd. Most people just do a stroker

I too had a t-case and necessary garb for a 5 spd swap sourced from a guy on the east coast if I had wanted for around $1K I recall. That project was ki-boshed and settled on the shocks/struts c-arms instead (which was $1k+ anyways). It would really be nice for an enthusiast to pick it up.
Cheers,
Johnny
