| Senior Member | FS: 1989 BMW E30 325i 2 Door Coupe - Bronzite Bomber Good Evening Everyone! Well, those who know me; know that I have five BMW's, and frankly; that is about four too many. It is time that I thin the heard a bit. It is always hard to choose which car to sell; especially when you work with them and get to love them so much over time. It is like selling your children; it just feels wrong. Nonetheless; you got to do what you got to do… As such; For sale is my 1989 325i that really wanted to be an IS. I say that as it has the rear spoiler, a 3.73 LSD, heated seats and power windows/mirrors, and is a 2 door coupe. (The sunroof is manual ironically) This is the cleanest and most unmolested vehicle (let alone E30) I have ever owned; It quite possibly is the most original E30 around. I have for her, in my hand, receipts for some very recent repairs and upgrades that sum up to $5,670. For example she has: - New timing belt and water pump installed - New Fan clutch - All belts and hoses replaced - New distributor cap and rotor and plugs and spark plug wires - Synthetic oil - IE Subframe Rear bushings installed (That is a major pain in the ass) - SS Brake lines installed (And yes the annoying rear subframe ones too) - Delrin Short Shift kit (I hate this thing, but some people like short shift kits) - New control arms with E36 M3 offset CABs - New fuel pump - New Cam shaft seal and front main seal - New speed sensor and a low mileage instrument cluster installed. The new cluster reads 138,000 kms, but it has 208,000 kms on the clock. There are new seat covers on her when the stereo was installed; and as such the interior looks amazing. She has a nice little sub and amp neatly mounted in the trunk on the back seat as to not ruin any trunk space. She is riding on the nicest set of bottlecaps around sporting brand new Toyo Go2 tyres purchased from OK tire. Everything was professionally installed on this vehicle. This was not a hobbyist’s car, it was a enthusiast’s car. For example; when the PO wanted a IS spoiler installed; he did not just source one from a junk yard or from revlimited; he went to Vancouver BMW and paid $250 for a new spoiler, then went to No.1 collision and paid $500 to have it installed, clear coated and have the trunk refinished. I cannot stress the love that was put into this vehicle. When it was time to turn her into a IS, and a LSD was desired; a new 3.73 was not a realistic option; as such the lowest KM diff was found and then although perfectly serviceable; was taken to Bert’s Automotive (A good diff and tranny shop) and $450 was spent to inspect and reseal the diff and replace what parts could be. If a better upgrade could be found to fix a broken part it was in every detail, (Sealed beams cracked so ellips were installed, that sort of thing) I have all the receipts for everything said here; so you know that nothing is fictitious. I even have a vehicle inquiry for the buyer. The first owner (Peter) purchased her at Park Shore Motors on August 2nd 1989, then was sold to the last owner, (Rod) June 23rd 2003, and then sold to myself February 10th 2008. I have had her for six months and in that time I spent time replacing switches and bulbs and doing an oil change and some other minor work. To be honest, the reason I do not want to keep her is that I am afraid of driving her. I want a car that I can spill a coffee in and not be reduced to tears, or a car that I can beat around a corner without fear. All and all I am just afraid of making her any less of a perfect E30. Now for what she needs; She needs new brakes and new shocks. I can do all the work and I have a lot of suspension parts; it is just up to the buyer as to what route they want. I will give you drastically reduced prices on my new and used suspension and performance components. I have a new set of H&R Sport springs, or a used set of green RD springs for those who want something other than stock. I have IE 25/22 front and rear swaybars for her as well as a IE strut bar if you are interested, I have a turner motor sports chip if you want that installed, and I have some steering wheel and shift knob options, but really, she is bronzite metallic over nature cloth comfort interior; this was a car that I was going to give to my mother, but I am not in a financial position to give away a car at this point to my parents. I am working a night shift for the next few days, so I ask that you please email me rather than call me. My email address is cole975@gmail.com I wish you all a great day and I hope to find a loving and caring home for her. Cheers! -Ryan P.S. I just realized I forgot the price. I am looking for $6300 obo for her. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by ScottHalliday; 11-04-2008 at 10:37 AM.. |

k-swiss's pictures | This car has to be one of the cleanest e30s around. I've seen it and worked around it and it is everybit as clean as it looks in pictures. Such a nice specimen. |

M635's pictures | I saw this car yesterday when I met up with Ryan. This thing is mint, actually, more than mint, it's AMAZING. Very clean car, looks very straight, sounds great too. Anyone interested in this car is guaranteed a perfect running E30. |

| Senior Member | Good Evening Everyone! Sorry for the late response times; working nights is killing me here. Thank you for the support Kirin and Greg! She indeed is a happy little '30. Linc, Hah! Only another enlisted man would have noticed that (God knows a officer wouldn't ^_^)! Yes it was my gmail from when I was in the military, and yeah 975 was my last three. Poon, I like the coco mats too! Very period correct; always gets a smile on my passenger's faces! Sorry Amin, I am just using recycled pictures right now as my digicam is with my wife at the moment. They are very recent though. If you want to see a more up to date picture, you are more than welcome to meet up with me and take a look at her ! ^_^ Thank you all for the look and hopefully we can find her a good home! Cheers! -Ryan |
