| newbie | Just bought a 1971 2002... All; I just bought a 1971 BMW 2002 with the intent to restore it as a solid daily driver for my wife. Long story short, that model was her favorite car many years ago when we were stationed in England and first married. Her first 2002 was a right-hand drive, so we obviously had to leave it behind. That broke her heart. I swore that I would get her another one when we were financially able. Maybe a simple question...what type of gasoline to put in it? Any mods I need to do for lower octane/ethanol mix? Should I run super unleaded all the time with octane boost? What's your advice? Thanks; Don |

| newbie | I use regular gas in mine. I just tuned the car to the gas and it runs great. Of course check your tank and fuel flter and replace if the condition is unknown. I took off the top half of the carb ad cleaned out the bowl it had all kinds of crap in it. I even replaced the fuel line to the front because of the fuel smell. Good luck Dave |
