Hi. I'm new to the forum. I recently bought a 1972 bmw bavaria, which I plan to fix up. I would like to eventually convert to an electronic ignition, due to the improved performance and reliability. I have an alfa romeo that I converted with a 123 electronic ignition, but it appears that they don't make a unit for my bmw. Does anyone have experience with an electronic ignition distributor for the bmw bavaria?

i have ...i bought a bavaria too with an extra motor 91 m30 with electronic injection but coudn t find any info on the swap...

i have a broken piston in the car ..a 91 m30 motor and bought a 71 bavaria automatic for part this week end ...i m gonna try to take the motor of the automatic and rebuilt my bav and mayde later instal the 91 injection

I have a Mallory Electronic unit in mine... love it and never had any issues.
