Needs some help..speedo prob!

I have an 86' L7 with speedo problem. I had it rebuilt by good source. I have replaced transmission sending unit on differtial..no change. I am thinging circuit board ob tranny indicator behind cluster.

Could be a few things, like the plug that is attached to the sensor @ the diff. That is what was wrong with mine. Looked fine, but the wires were broken. Where the plastic ends.

Do you have an meter ?

speedo issue...

Hi Blackice,

I changed the sending unit on differential, but I am going to check to see if it's sending a signal. No oscope, but was told the signal should show on a basic test light tool. I should get some power indication. I bought a used sending unit, so it may be bad too.

I will check the wires and connection too. If it is good, where should I go from here?
