vicgtr's pictures | MP3 CD PLAYER I have the Business CD player in my car, but I'm reading that only after 2003, are they able to play mp3's. I'm wondering if this is true and if so, can I install a newer one as a direct replacement? They look the same to me! Thx for your time ![]()

vicgtr's pictures | I'm looking on ebay at a professional cd, and the pins look different. Is it the business one only, that I can use?

vicgtr's pictures | Man, this is confusing. I did a BUNCH of research, called dealers, googled, and so far I think it goes like this. They started playing mp3's second half of 2003. I also believe I will need an antenna adaptor, not sure which one, at least 2 different ones. Nobody can tell me which, not dealers, crutchfield, BSW, Binnernav. All this to keep steering controls, wow I'm starting to think it's not worth it. Might as well just install aftermarket.

| Senior Member | If someone says they don't know if it plays MP3 it probably doesn't. check e46fanatics or bimmerforums, i'm sure you can find the business deck there. You'll need the antenna adapter bmwpart # 61126913955. I would recommend you get the iPod kit instead, BMW E46 iPod Kit by DICE | BSW |
