Yeah, that's something I should've done, only ran the car for 30 mins in traffic.

Max allowance is like 1100, and i got 1300. The thing is, for the past few years, it's been hovering around 900. Except last year when the previous owner had it passed at 600. '-_-

I'd warm it right up, I was really worried about my M3 not passing, I drove it out to ladner in like 3rd gear all the way down the highway, got it all really hot and toasty, then I went to airscare, and dont shut the car off when you get there. That will engage the coldstart and possibly lead to failing the test again.. good luck I hate that place..

How many minutes you think is enough.

I dunno, I have a little route that I take all my cars on before I go test them, by my guess my "aircare warmup" drive is about 15mins long. **this is not including the time it takes for me to reach the highway, and by then my car has reached operating temp** overall I think a trip to aircare takes me about an hour.

Probably need 2 hours for mine, if that would even help my car.

What else can be changed while i'm at the cat removal.

What kind of set-ups are recommended for exhausts?

Anyone selling E30M3 headers?

I run my e30 325i for 10 minutes on the way to aircare, and idle for 5-10 minutes in line, and never have problems. No need to drive around for 2 hours!

Just a thought, but is your CO and HC really low? If so, you might be runnining too lean rather than have a bad cat. If all three are bad then your air-fuel may be OK but cat is shot.

Is the car all tuned up? New plugs, filter, fule filter etc. Esp, if you are running lean or something. I'd rather do almost anything than buy a cat converter. I'm very cheap.
