Question BMW Alarm Hood Switch. Need Help with Wires!

Hello,

I recently purchased an abused BMW that I am slowly getting things working on and one of the problems I am having is with the factory alarm. I purchased a remote keyfob on ebay that is working with the alarm since it makes noises and the panic function works. But the alarm wont set. All I get it 3 beeps. That tells me that it is registering a contact open. The first place I suspect is the hood switch. I am unable to find one. I have enclosed 2 pics. One of 2 wires that I found that are not connected to anything in the location I feel the switch might be. And the other of under the hood. Can someone tell me what those wires should be connected to? And tell me where the switch should be located if its not those 2 wires? The wires are Green with a black stripe and green with a yellow stripe.

Thank you,

Dave

Here's a e36 wiring diagram. Don't see those colored wires though.
