| Senior Member | Unlocking unit on 2001 e46 passenger seat Hi Al & guys, I need your advice. I drive a 01 e46 coupe with sport seats and currently the unlocking unit (part#52108099134) on my passenger seat is partially not working (It can only flip the seat back forward. It's not lifting up and forward the whole seat). Although I don't use the back seat very often, I still want to take a crack at fixing it myself just to keep the car well. When I look under the seat, there are plugs and wiring. Since I have no heated seats, I suspect they may be part of the airbag system or something and I wish not to mess around with those. My question is: 1) Is this something I can fix myself without touching any part of the airbag system? 2) When I take the seat rear panel (part#52108099388) off to check the unlocking unit, is there anything I should be aware of? 3) I tried to look around the seat and I can't seem to find the screws holding the rear panel in place. How is the rear panel held in place? Thank you so much ![]() Philip
