Low Wheel Arches

So after years of fixing up my e30, getting it running well, nice and tight I FINALLY got my stuff together enough to get it lowered and the RS's on it.

So the one thing that never came up, in all that time was the issue of the low wheel arches on the '88. So now I have invested alot (more than its worth) in this car only to find out it does not have the look I want. It does look good, just not the look I wanted.

Can anything be done abuot this? Spacers in the rear mounts?

Lower the front even more?

help...

Ron

umm you either just deal with it or space up the rear springs.

Spring pads! You can buy different thickness spring pads, they come in 5mm and 10mm thicknesses and you can double up on them.

I'm currently running on ix front spring pads and doubled up rear spring pads with my H&R suspension because I wanted a little more wheel travel and ground clearance.

Here's a good write up on how you can change the rear springs

Plus spring pads are cheap cheap cheap!

Thanks, yeah it has new Bilsteins and HR sports, just installed. I am hoping spring pads will help...

I assume i will be a spring compressor to do this mod?

Does anyone have pics of 88 or later, lowered with spring pads in?

R

Your 87 has the higher rear wheel arches, not a good comparison.
