| Senior Member | Hi, Any tips on removing the rubber weather strip on the bottom of an e34 door? I'll assume its similar to other BMWs of the era. Mine was ripped, so I've purchased a new one...but its a real pain to remove, so before I go on, I am wondering if there is an easier way... Thanks, Chris |

| Senior Member | I don't know how much of this applies to an e34, but could definitely learn from the principles. Just want to share: http://www.1aauto.com/wstrip/installguide.php Philip

| Senior Member | Not sure if this helps, but when I was doing the trunk seal on my E24, I trying pulling as much as I could off by hand, then used adhesive remover to get the rest off. If it was not a complete ******* to remove the whole job would have taken about 10 minutes.. all and all it was about 2 hours and was really trying on the old patience there... I have two different weather seal adhesives if you need any. I like the 3M Gorilla snot yellow. Let me know how is goes, I need to do my E34 seals too so i am curious as all hell how it goes. |
