Anyone re-painted trims before?

Has anyone repainted their trims before? If so, could you tell me what paint you used (and where you bought it), and perhaps procedures for the task?

I'm trying to get rid of some white marks in the rear.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

If its something minor, some shoe polish might do it!

WOOT WOOT I know how to do it
First step, Use 1000 grit or higher sand paper to prep surface
second use good NON residue cleaner to make sure its COMPLETELY clean
third, SEM Trim black, best flat black trim there is, matches Oem really well
Fourth, MULTIPLE LAYERS better to do 7 coats from 1ft away than 1 coat 4 inches away
BAKE, as in above 20 Celcius

reinstall and go

Good luck, dont fear, its easy and it looks good

I have a divot like on one of the trims, I figure i can smooth off the plastic that sticks out, and... hm.. not much i could do with the indent. As for the rest, it's just one tiny streak of white line. Overall condition is okay.

Where did you get the cleaning fluid and paint, Tim?

I work at a body shop I buy ALL my stuff from White and Peters, good prices and they know they're ****... Just get some Finishing puddy and fill the divot, it will look nice and the trim black will hide the rest... it is a faily thick product and will hide minor things. Just get a General Paint cleaner, or just a thiner of some sort's
