I just bought a new steering rack and it dose not have the dampening shock attachment. Do the new racks not need it??

I got a rebuilt one from a local shop that ordered it for 300.00.

I was thinking of doing a conversion to the shorter rack. I think they were just a bit more than $300 too.

I have a couple of E36 steering racks in great condition if anyone is interested.

Mine is slowly leaking, the rack that is. I bought all new hoses, pity.

my e30 hoses worked fine on my e36 rack. so don't think that you wasted your money.
