Red paint fade

Too all red BMW owners,
I have my 88 red E30 and the hood and left door panel faded very badly over the years to the point of me thinking to repaint. I wax/polish it a lot every few months but it just keeps fading. I'm no expert in paint, i was wondering if you guys have any tips on this. Just keep polishing? or know somewhere cheap to repaint.

A good paint job is big $$$. A crappy paint job can be had for a few hundred bucks, but you get exactly what you pay for.

I suggest you take it to a pro detailer and have it machine polished (if there's enough paint left to do so). The right tools and products can work wonders on old faded and oxidised paint. Hand polishing and waxing won't cut nearly deep enough to remove 20 years of fade.

Cheers.

What kind of polish are you using? Naming the products would help us.
