photogirl's pictures | Problems with the window(s) The back window on the left didn't work on my wagon. It was never a big deal until today. Today, I tried the window again quite by accident and it actually opened. Then, of course, I couldn't close it. Later however, it did close and a little later, none of the windows worked. Another round of this and I finally got the sunroof shut for the evening. Now nothing is working. This is a short somewhere? An electronic problem? A fuse? ![]()

Yes, yes and yes. When you say "now nothing works", are you talking about the windows, or all the cars electrics? A lot of power window problems are caused by Coke. Or coffee, or sticky anything, really. People driving along, sipping their fav bevvy, and they spill it into the centre console. Wipe it all up, and think its good, but the goo has infiltrated the switch internals, and slowly kills them. There are several other reasons why they might stop working, but switches is the obvious first place to start. Also check the fuse, and finally, you'll have the pull each door panel, and start checking motors. Doubtful that all the motors died at once though. If need be, you could bring it into the shop this week, and I could have a look. Should have a solid answer in an hour or less. Al |

photogirl's pictures | Du'oh! It was just a blown fuse... I dropped by my mechanics' on the way to my job site this morning and it got sorted out in a matter of minutes. He even sent me off with a handy supply of a few spares fuses ![]() Thanks for the suggestions everyone!
