Spark Plugs

Spark Plugs

I just got some new spark plugs. Is the install pretty much straight forwards?
Take old spark plugs out
put new ones in?
Any Info would be great Thanks.
Btw it's a 91 318is

On a scale of 1 to 10 (one being added gas, and 10 being a engine rebuild) Spark plugs are a 1.

Remove sparkplug boots (grab the end of the boot, not the actual wire) It should pop off.
Use spark plug socket and remember lefty loosy, righty tighty.
Gap your sparkplug to the proper gap.
A tiny bit of anti-sieze on the sparkplug threads is good and screw in hand tight so you don't cross thread.
Use torque wrench to tighten or if you do it by hand, make it tight but don't lean your weight on it!

Torque them if you've never done it before. Also, don't forget a little dab of dielectric grease in the boots before you reinstall the wires.

make sure you do not install platnium plugs as well, they suck. Iridium steel or copper tip is best. Bosch or NGK

Plugs are Installed I added some dielectric grease Thanks Al as for using a torque wrench i just used the plug tool that was in my trunk and tightened them just enough i think
Coolant flush, new fuel filter and oil change coming up this week/weekend

Not sure. back in trade school, some time as an apprentice, I think. Way back in the day.
