Parts source - few noob questions

Well, I have crawled around a bit underneath and such and figure I need:

1) muffler/pipe from cat back - it is the original on there now!!

2) front wheel bearing/hub assembly

3) dash trim around headlight adjustment knob - Customs "inspectors" ripped it apart among other things - piss me off...

4) injectors, plugs and wires. maybe new distrib cab. dont know yet - idles rough. tough to start hot and cold.

Sure it needs more - but this is a hefty start.

I was hoping you guys could point me in a good direction for mail order parts - hopefully in Canada to avoid Customs/Duty tax. I live in a land far from BMW dealer. All we have is NAPA and Lordco.

Should I go OEM for all this stuff?

GOt my Bentley manual yesterday.

Thanks guys, much appreciated.

Hey Johnny, drop me an email. I can get all those parts for you, at a great price. The mechanical stuff I can get in a few hours, but the dealer stuff may take a little longer.

Read above post, Al should be the cheapest place to go locally.

Myself order parts from states , bfbmw.com. pelicanparts, bma. calculating + duty + shipping still way cheaper if you buy in big quantity.

you can ship to PR or blaine as well and pick it up there.

If your looking for used parts for your interior or anything else then try bimmerparts northwest here on the island. They are a BMW dismantler, huge shop with everything stored inside. Their only 10 minutes away from me and I have used them many times. Find their service first rate.

Thanks guys.

Will contact Al direct.

RE; the trim, thanks for the used parts idea Redline, but not sure if any N. American spec got the headlight adjustment. IF not, I will likely have to order this from Germany. Looked up part #'s on RealOEM.
