Hey Blackice well done! The silver E30 in your first entry brought back fond memories of my days back in South Africa. If you look close you will see it's got a decal "Rainbow Drag Strip".

Me & my buddies used to go there Sunday afternoons in the 90's with a few cases of Castle lager to enjoy a great day in the sunshine checking out the cars and the local talent.

That is cool ! Can you share some photos of the scene ? I have only seen a bit of drag racing, and only once live. Which was last summer at mission !

The top fuel cars were fast !

There was a cute 18 year old girl driving a car out there, kick the tar out of the boys My 17 year old nephew's interest of the sport went up considerably when he saw her, her car and her posters....

The NHRA competition rules limit the displacement to 500 cubic inch (8193.5 cc). A 4.19" (106.4 mm) bore with a 4.5" (114.3 mm) stroke are customary dimensions.
