| Member | Audio Help Needed I have Alpine deck and my front tweeter pods got blown w not even that much volume. So I picked up used ones from the yard... And the same thing happened. The other day, I picked up a pair of 5.25" components to run in the front. I understand 5.25" do fit in the kick panel, correct me if I'm wrong. I have just realized that the tweeters seem to be permenantly mounted in the tweeter pods. Does anyone have any advice on how to go about installing aftermarket tweeters? Any solutions? Should I be going a totally different route? Thanks much in advance |

| Member | that makes a lot of sense. Thanks Shocka. And yes i am talkn about the triangular pods at the side mirrors. Do you know where can I p/u a pair of decent, reliable crossovers? I think this way it'll be easier to install rather than trying to fit an aftermarket product. OR are there any direct-fit aftermarket options? |

| Senior Member | If you go to circuit city, or some audio specialty place you should be able to get a passive crossover (something you can wire inline between the deck/amp and the tweeters). This should be quite cheap. This should only let the high frequency signals through, and end the tweeter blowing issue. |

vicgtr's pictures | You may want to also try the www.crutchfield.com site. They seem to be pretty good. Hope this helps you in some way. ![]()
