Best is a subjective term, Best at what ?

I really like BMW's M6 convertible, but this car would not get the kids to school, or get a F1 driver around the track. Still she is a thing of beauty don't you think ?

The best BMW on the road right now? Why it's the E30 M3 of course! Best at what?

Yeah, probably the M3, but not necessarily the E30.
The newest M3, I am not sure of it's model designation number, though I don't own one nor have I ever driven one, is probably the best BMW for the money. Top gear has tested it in it's class and it proves to be an astounding car, both in performance ans well as comfort......but again, for the money. The M6's and M5's are also incredible machines but they cost a whole lot more.

I've driven the new M3 on and off the track. While it is a nice machine with a beautiful motor, its not the sharp edged knife its made out to be. There is a fair amount of understeer on turn in at the track(compared to the e46m3) due to the weight of the motor, and of the entire car in general. Its not what you would call......svelt. Remember, the new M3 is almost the same size and weight of the last M5.

Well then, as I said, in it's class it's probably the best, and like I said, never having driven one, I was just sticking my neck out....too far obviously.

Great article Anthony, thanks for sharing it with us.

It is hard not to love the E 30 M 3, Who has not watched there favourite rally legend rip up the course in a M3?

This video of Patrick Snyers driving his BMW M3 in the Manx Rally, shows the sprite and passion that is all E30 M3. I have watched this Video 100 x's and I still love it, The sound of the S14 at speed is incredible. But the most impressive thing has to be the look of the car, the stance and the unique look that can only be M3.

I give it
