So who wants to help out the Noob?

I must admit I am humbled by the fact of how little i know about these cars, lets just say it is no Rabbit. so my new car feels like a fat girl on a roller coaster (too much body roll). I can't pull the trigger as to what suspension I want to get. I was wondering if any of you Kind Sirs would like to volunteer your time to let me see and ride with you in your H&R sport equipped cars or race for that matter with the Bilstein shocks and struts. I can only offer you bad conversation and a pint in return.

I have the H&R Race and Bilsteins with Powerflex front control arm bushings (a big help with tracking and turn-in). You're welcomed to ride with me for a bit! I don't know when we plan to meet though.

Are your powerflex bushings offset?

I'm going to try e36 M3 bushings...

Yeah my powerflex's are offset. They certainly are bulkier (2 pc design) than the M3 solid offsets, and LOOK like they would be heavier duty. Actual performance advantage over the M3's are uncertain.

Currently I have the offset ones in my car. They cause some rather interesting tire wear...

mine have been in for about 2500km now...nothing unusual! how are your offset lobes oriented? they should be pushing outward.

Don't know if you know, but apparently Powerflex mislabelled some of their bushing sets. Those labelled RIGHT are actually.....LEFT. Vice versa. My installation is correct as I double checked with Powerflex office in the UK before I pressed them in when i suspected the mistake, just to make sure.

Is that even English, Linc?

They're oriented exactly the same as E30 M3 bushings. The offset if rotated towards the middle of the car.

Sorry Linc, I'm just messing with you! The offset does indeed go towards the outside. That pushes the bottom of the wheel out, decreasing camber. Which is what you want.
