muffler strap

hey im kinda pissed because the muffler strap broke today. there are two metal straps that hold the muffler up, so i called lordco and they dont carry it but alder auto does and they want 51 bucks which is horrible, its a 2 dollar piece of metal. i wuz suprised actually called bmw and they want $26. but it is still too much. soo my question is does anyone know where i can get em cheap, or is it worth it to make my own. thanks Aaron

don't bother making your own, the metal roll stuff just breaks after like 3 months. you can go back to lordco, and try generic muffler straps i'm pretty sure i have one that will work. i bought it for my muffler but i bought a different muffler.

You should probably just buy a new $26 strap. It will bolt right in as long as the muffler hasn't been hacked by a hack. And it will probably last 15 years (the first one did).

19 inch tube magnaflow, it fits really great and it sounds pretty good after its warm (like 5 min or so).
