| Senior Member | I think you forgot to mention what it is you're looking at. Either way try http://www.r3vlimited.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5004 for an extensive amount of short shifter information |

| Depends on what is important to you. If having a notchier and more precise shift is important to you, it's a easy, pretty cheap mod to do that you can do yourself, even without any serious shop experience. Looks better too, if you're going for that. Made me feel differently about the car, felt more solid kind of, like it was meant to be driven hard, not just a day to day driver.

fastbmw's pictures | use a z4 2.5 or 3.0 lever and all the replacement bushings, it's way cheaper and is just as good. |

kowalski's pictures | its not just as good, all bmw shifters are sloppy, so replacing it with a sloppy shifter rather then a tight one wont give you the same feel. they arn't sloppy off the start but after a couple thousand km you will notice it. plus you can get a B&M from Mopac for like 150$ which isn't a bad deal. |

kowalski's pictures | i duno about that, seeing as these things are usualy cnc machined there is no way that your going to get a CNC machined lever for that price no matter what. not to mention that guy is a jackass... trust me. all of his stuff is "generic" and works on any car so there is a good chance that it wont even fit. |
