Those weaves look great on your e28. You should use some rubbing compound on that spot of rust under the drivers side tail light.

He should really pull the tail light out and deal with the rust spot before it becomes a welding problem. It is also a convenient time to install new tail light gaskets, which definitly need replacing on Adams e28.

hey a quick question for you guys. how do i fix a rust spot like that without welding new metal in? do you mean sand the section down, fill it , prime it and paint?

and what do you think about red tails but keep the white backup lights for the e28 yay or nay?

and anyone got a set of lowering springs for the e28????? how about a set of 17 wheels for her as well...help guys...

Oh ****, I never even thought about that!

Adam, they're H&R, with Boge Turbogas. That car had a GREAT stance, and handled nice.

I have a set of 17" x 8" Style 5's that I am in the middle of rebuilding. They're from an E39, but I have a set of centering rings to go with them for E30 M3/E12/E28/E34 fitment). I was planning on putting them up for sale after I finished the work, but would be happy to let them go if you don't mind finishing the job (3 of 4 lips are polished so far, currently cleaning and polishing a set of bolt-heads so I can put one wheel back together...what a PITA!!!).

Do the all red tails when you remove them to do the rust and gaskets. Is it legal to paint the reverse light as well?

If the spot is not visable - POR 15, else what you said, just make sure rust is totally gone.

Dont do red tail lights - looks wrong on an e28.

You could install 17's, but you wont like how it handles! The E28 likes light wheels, and most find 16's the right size for cost vs weight.
