Hmmm, that looks very much like a car belonging to a fellow by the name of Taylor that dropped by to check out a hardtop for it.

318 with 2 slightly bent rear rims on the rear and a very tattered rag top?

Cheers, Bob

Is it wrong to say that Volvo 242(?) looks pretty hot as well? I just love super-stock euro-boxes from the 70s and 80s in excellent shape!

Regards,
C

Not wrong at all! I love it, too. Looks like it has a sunroof, which is very rare in the 242DL. Nice old Ovlov, for sure.

I see that one around all the time. I hate to say it but the "person" (woman) I see driving it is one of those people who should drive something else. By that I mean doesn't know what they have (might as well be a ford Taurus), is not interested in other BMW's and treats their car like a dog. A good way to spot someone like this is if you are in your car and you cross their field of vision and they don't bother to look or if you give them a polite wave and they just squint and try to figure out who the person is rather than the car. I despise this breed of BMW owner, they usually drive newer boring automatic cars and have the snobby luxury car attitude but some will even disgrace an old legend (like the one in this pic). I think we need to come up with a name for this species of BMW owner! Any ideas?
BTW they are also the ones responsible for the X3/X5 and lack of the M3 in certain years

We already have a name for them: women. Some of them even have a penus, but they can't fool me, they're still women.

Nothing wrong with them, heck, I'm married to one but they should stick to minivans or mercedes. It's my firm belief that all bmw's should be built with a manual trans. If you don't want that, drive something else. An auto bmw is like an auto porsche, just wrong.
