Post X5 M And X6 M Pricing Announced

BMW X5 M
Been looking forward to getting your hands on a new BMW X5 M or X6 M when they hit the market? Well, here's how much you need to have in your piggy bank: the X5 M starts at $86,225 (including the $825 destination charge) and the X6 M starts at $89,725 (again, including destination). That may seem a bit expensive for what are essentially SUVs with big engines, but when compared to the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, which starts at $124,000, they almost seem like a bargain.

BMW X6 M
Another thing you'll be getting for your money is the most powerful engine in any current BMW model. The twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 pumps out 555 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. That puts them 55 horsepower and 105 lb-ft of torque over the M5 and M6. Also, while the M5 costs a hair under the X5 M at $85,500, the M6 coupe starts at $102,000.

So, if you want a car that can hit 0-to-60 mph in 4.5 seconds, and carry both your kids and the dog in the back, then the X5 M or X6 M are for you. Both vehicles will hit showrooms in the late fall branded as 2010 models.
