Post World's Fastest BMW Coupe!

M6 Hurricane CS
Last year, German tuning company G-Power took the BMW M5, boosted the engine output to 750 bhp, and created the fastest BMW sedan, which could hit a top speed of 228 mph. They called it the Hurricane RS. Now, the M5's sister model, the M6, is getting the same treatment and, you guessed it, the same incredible results. The official name of the model is the 2009 G-Power BMW M6 Hurricane CS, and it features the same twin-supercharger V10 engine as the M5 Hurricane RS (yes, two superchargers), and pumps out the same 750 bhp and produces 590 lb-ft of torque. The M6 Hurricane CS can go from 0-to-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and hits the same 228 mph top speed as the M5 Hurricane. It should be noted, though, that these numbers reflect the in-house testing of G-Power, but a certified test is forthcoming.

How the tuners accomplished this performance is remarkable in and of itself. In order to cool down the engine, G-Power created a water-to-air intercooler system and replaced many of the stock engine components (pistons, valves, etc.) with stronger forged versions to withstand the immense and rigorous pressures created by all that extra power.

The M6's body also got a complete overhaul. Every single body panel has been replaced with a carbon-fiber version, and the aerodynamics have been overhauled in order to generate enough downforce to keep the Hurricane on the road when it approaches its top speed. The front bumper has been made into, essentially, one giant vent in order to provide air to the engine, and the side skirts and rear diffuser help keep the car down. Also, there are numerous vents on the skirts and bumpers to provide ventilation to the six-piston carbon-ceramic brake system.

The carbon fiber isn't relegated to just the outside, though. Sit in the cabin and you're surrounded by the composite material. Carbon fiber bucket seats, dash, console and accents are all in attendence. In fact, one of the few things that isn't carbon fiber are the 21-inch alloy wheels. As mentioned before, the Hurricane CS has yet to go through certified testing, but G-Power says that the car will be road legal, so you can pick one up and drive it around town. If, of course, you have a spare $477,000 lying around somewhere.
