The 2006 BMW 7 Series

The most successful 7 Series in the history of BMW will set a new standard in the luxury performance class once again as it enters the 2006 model year. A significant improvement in performance along with enhancements to the chassis and suspension reaffirm the BMW 7 Series as the driver’s car in the segment. Refinement in design, in turn, expresses the car’s enhanced driving dynamics and sportiness at very first glance while retaining the unmistakable presence that gives the BMW 7 Series its elegant and charismatic character.

You know I like it like this waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. The lights are a big improvement, the back looks like they're just trying to hide all the fuckedupness. The overall look is a lot more like a japanese car.

I agree. I think the front looks 1000x better and this is what it should have looked like originally. The back end still needs some work, looks like a second gen Q45 or something.

Hmmm. Getting better, but still kinda looking like a reject from "The Swan". The interior is still a user-hostile disaster. If I were in the market for this type of car, I'd rather get a new-for-2005 Audi A6 (which is gor-gee-us) as save $20,000.

The nicest $100K+ car I have driven is the VW Phaeton. Ironic considering it's a VW but it is a really nice car. I hate the ergonomics of the new BMW's. The old cars everything was laid out perfectly. Now you have to read the owners manual just to figure out which of the FIVE buttons you have to push to move the seat.

I'm with you on this one. Its a very good (not to mention much needed) improvement over Bangle's initial offering. The butt still needs help though.

Lots of people are saying they like the old one better. That must just make the designers at BMW shake their heads. First the new 7 comes out and everyone hates it and now everyone is saying they like the old one better. I personally like the front end on the new one but the rear still needs massive work. And the interior is a joke, can't BMW designs doors that open all the way?
