motoyen's pictures | Zent Motorsports I recently found myself back in Japan and with two weeks to spare I decided to get out of Tokyo and pay a visit to the historical capital of Japan, the city of Kyoto. Hopping on the bullet train my first stop would be Nagoya, a small quiet city between Tokyo and Kyoto. What brought me here was pachinko, specifically the owner of one of the largest pachinko chains in Japan. It seems that this particular owner has a passion for fast cars and has made his multi-million dollar collection available to the public. What is pachinko and how does it relate to million dollar cars? Well imagine a game that is a cross between a slot machine and a pinball game. The object is to place the balls in the center hole and the more balls you get in the hole the more prizes you win. What is most interesting about pachinko is that it is a $200 Billion industry, larger than the Japanese auto industry! So you can imagine owning a few pachinko parlors can be very profitable. Walking into the Zent Motorsports showroom it is hard not to be overwhelmed by the cars on display. Many of these cars I had only ever seen in the pages of EVO magazine and now here they were right in front of me. First car I see is the BMW powered McLaren F1 GT one of only three in the world. ![]() The awesome McLaren F1 LM, one of only five in the world. ![]() ![]() The Ferrari 288 GTO is the original Ferrari super car. Based on this car Ferrari then built the F40, F50 and FXX and yes he owns all of them as well! ![]() Ferrari F40 ![]() Ferrari F50 ![]() Ferrari FXX ![]() Seeing all 3 generations of Ferrari super cars, in 3 distinct colors was an amazing sight! ![]() The owner is obvisouly a fan of Ferrari because he also owns a 250 TR ![]() 275 GTB/4 ![]() 365 GTB/4 ![]() and a second F40! ![]() His collection isn't limited to just Ferraris though, he also owns a Jaguar XJR15. One of only 50 every made and designed by Gordon Murray. ![]() A Porsche 959 ![]() And Mika Hakkinen's old Formula 1 car! ![]() This was one of the most amazing collections of super cars I've seen and if I owned a bunch of billion dollar pachinko parlous this is exactly what my garage would look like. ![]() |

| Senior Member | You could go your whole life and not see a single ONE of those cars.To see them all together in one place is truly a rare stroke of luck.(knowing they are there helps too I suppose).Nevertheless a very impressive collection, every single car one of the highlights in the manufactures history of auto building. For me,the most impressive one is the Porsche 959 just because of their Paris-Dakar Rally wins in the 1980s.To enter the race the car had to be a production vehicle sold to the general public,so Porsche built and sold 2 hundred of them and went racing in the most grueling rally in the world.8600 miles across one badass desert, finishing 1st and 2nd out 127 finishers. ![]() Check out the video from youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJNlhUWpBFY |

| Senior Member | I'm twitching right now. Absolutely beside myself. He must be "our" age. Those are all the cars "we" have had on our locker doors or bedroom walls since the mid-eighties. I thought garages like this were confined to the Middle East. No, the Enzo is so passé, how ‘bout an FXX? And why stop at one McLaren F1 when you can have two? Where do I sell my soul to the devil to get a collection like that? I have to say I'd pass up driving the McLaren for Mika's "real" F1 car. One note though...the front splitter on the one McLaren is really thick? It looks more like a second bumper.
