Want to try the Zionsville Quick Ratio Steering Kit (ST-3)

Hi All,

My clutch is toast (I think) so I'm going to part the 325i out (the body is really rough - something about drifting it for 3 seasons in the mountains around Nelson).

I wanted to know if anyone was interested in trying an E30 with NO power steering and the 2.7 turn (l2l) rack from Zionsville to see if they like the feel before I take the car apart (I think its a wicked track, autoX set up).

Oh, and I will most likely be keeping the rack, just thought I could give a bit back and let people check it out before I kill her. Saturday is the last day she's on the road. Sunday the wrenches start flying. And the clutch works just enough to get it in gear (most of the time) so experienced pilots only.

Oh, the car is also lightened, no interior, sound proofing, or ac belts.

Craig,

not sure, the only place close to me is the road from the beach up around UBC. If you did that loop even at the speed limit you would get the feel for it. I have to say that it is great. A pain to Sqeeeeeeze into a parking spot though. Better for a track/fun car than a daily driver (unless you don't mind working for your parking spot) We could do it early(ish) sat or sun morning before the traffic gets going.

I don't expect hoonage, just a chance for anyone contemplating the swap to try it out. I think it is the best steering car since my '74 2002. It is an absolute dream on big sweepers, and crazy fast in town (I havn't tracked it yet)

Craig,
