Mr. Red's pictures | Thanks for posting this up! When is the actual track day? |

| Senior Member | And for those with track experience, they are also putting on an advanced day Friday May 29th. The difference is no instructors in the car with you, just open lapping with passing in designated areas. I was on the track 2 weeks ago for their last day. I highly recommend it |

Tuesday May 5th, 2009 is the next one. But I think they do a few a year. It looks like they reduced the price as well, not sure ,but when I first looked at doing this , I thought it was like 400 bucks. Maybe that was with a rental car ????? |

Blackice's pictures | Yes, you drive your car. ![]() I would bring a set of front brake pads, fuel, some tools..not sure what the deal is with helmets..... |

| Senior Member | The beginner course will supply helmets, but the advanced days require you bring your own. You can take it as mellow as you like or as hard on your car as you like. Your car will not suffer in any way unless you go out of your way to do so. The instructors group those together with similar skill and car so the flow is very good on either day. My friend runs these programs and they are the most enjoyable of any track day offered out at Mission. If you've always wanted to take your car out and learn from the pro's while learning the limits of your car, this is how to do it. It's a very safe and comfortable setting, so don't feel intimidated. I do recommend getting some better brake pads if you don't have already, they really help once things heat up. They are running the new config out there and the straight away let's you really get up to speed. I was doing 180kmph down it into turn one. I usually don't have a problem with my breaks over heating but some others do. But like I said, it depends on the driver. |

| Senior Member | Morrisport puts on a bunch of different track day experiences a year. The price has always been around $250, what you were probably looking at was the BMW store's day or one of the BMW club days ( which btw, morrisport also puts on) Even then you still drive your own car. You end up paying a premium if you go on those sponsored days. | |
