Australian F1

Hamilton started 18th on the grid but was on full attack mode as he made his way through the field, to an eventual 4 th place finish.

The newest team on the scene, Brawn GP, was very solid with a 1st and 2nd place finish.

The Ferrari's seemed a bit off the pace.....

BMW looked good at times, I hope that we will see some good results from them in the next race.

Here are the race results for the Australian F1.

Trulli recieved a 25sec penalty for passing Hamilton under yellow flag conditions and ended up finishing 12th putting Hamilton onto the final podium spot.

Im not really sure what to think about the cells. Its like a generator in a way that adds 80 hp, for 6 second a lap max? I dont understand why they need it. Its funny they put it on heidfelds car but not kubica's because hes a heavier driver. Should be a good season at any rate.

Yeah, that call with heidfelds and Kubica's cars, said to me that they are not sure either.

I have heard that they are only good for 1 weekend. Seems a bit of a waste of time to me.

But I guess it does give that element of surprise, if you have no reserve, and the guy behind has a bunch to use, it will make passing easier, but at what expense ?

Can they be recycled ?

yeah what a mess this turned out to be! he was disqualified from the reace for 'giving misleading information to an official' or something like that, does that mean the trullli had his 3rd place reinstated?

Yeah I heard that his team lied to the officials. Not sure why they would lie....

As far as I know, it is not a pass if the car in front pulls off the track. Plus all there communications are taped. So it would be hard to lie, if there is a tape that says different ???????

Did anyone see the pass ? Sounds a bit fishy to me.

I didnt actually see the pass but i saw LH in 3rd under the safety car and then the next thing i saw he was in 4th on the overall standings. apparently LH slowed down quite alot and Trulli went past thinking he had a problem with his car. Surely Trulli would have to have some direction form his team telling him to pass LH under those circumstances. But how knows! And i dont know why LH or McLaren would lie to the officials, what were they to gain from doing that??? something very fishy indeed!!
