Abandoned BMW's?

Everyday for the past 2 months I've walked to work and seen these two BMW's parked in the exact same spot. The E39 M5 has a right front flat so it definitely hasn't moved. The brand new 7 series is racking up the parking tickets. Both are covered in dirt. The 7 has a demo plate. My guess is the owners are out of town but why leave such nice cars just sitting out on the street?

darn...no love. for about two months during the crappy weather, a really new ac schizt 7 series just sat parked on the cypress mountain road, collecting everything the plows threw at it. E-points for anyone that can find that really nice BMW (can't remember what it was) that was in Dubai covered in dirt.

Funny I should see this thread today, as I just saw pictures of the dusty M6 a few hours ago. I particularly like the comment on the trunk asking if the owner is dead.
