Mr. Red's pictures | Honda S2000 Cancelled http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/26/o...at-the-end-of/ Sad, one of the few newer cars I really liked. Definately would like a chance to drive one some day. Last edited by Blackice; 01-27-2009 at 09:06 AM.. |

M635's pictures | It's not really a useless car if you are single. Only downside to this is that they are overpriced for they are. You are still riding in a Honda. |

motoyen's pictures | I'd rather own an E30 M3 or even a 318is. Those Hondas feel like tin cans and the build quality is sub par. While it certainly is a unique car for Honda I didn't see what all the fuss was about when it came out. 100BHP per liter was something the Germans were doing over 20 years ago. |

| Member | I'm with motoyen and shocka on this. It's sad to see a niche market car go but my original point of "useless" was more about what this car missed in it's aim, not necessary functionality (which it evidently wasn't even pretending to have). Miata's are not functional, but at least they were more affordable then the Honda. (close to 1/2 price) The S2000 competed with a lot more able cars in it's price range and when compared to the same priced Nissan 350Z roadster it seemed pretty ... well useless... in it's segment. Ya... the 2 litre was just a sorry excuse for a motor compared to the 3.5l. Some people liked them due to brand loyalty and that's OK too, but that's not enough to justify continuing the line . ![]() In this economy watch for more cars to go... It's not good. It will most likely be enthusiast cars, not the Corollas and Odysseys... |

Yes, it is sad. I have driven a Honda S2000, the engine is like a motorcycle engine which can revv all the way up to 9000 rpm. It is a nice weekend car, but not much fun in rush hour traffic. The S2000 design is getting a little dated after nine years of production. If you like 2 seat convertibles, you should try the Z4. It has way more low end grunt, the engine pulls strong from 2000 to 7000 rpm. The Z4's handling and braking are superior compare to the S2000. The build quality is unmistakably german. I also drove the Porsche Boxster S. IMO the Z4 is also better than the Boxster S in terms of pure top down driving pleasure. The Boxster's exhaust sound is not as throaty as the Z4's. If that is still not enough performance for you, I would recommend the Z4 M coupe or Z4 M roadster. | |

| Member | ill agree with shocka on this one. 120 horse per L sure sounds nice, but at 8500 rpm? thats kinda lame, any day of the week id rather take a car that gives you its power output at half the rpm, alot more fun, and also the last model looks alot better then this one..this one just went more hotwheels looking and that wing is super gay, |
