| Member | QUOTE=1989E34M5;52543]Jim you are so self righteous, I believe you are the one who threw out stupid first (see post 35), but hey I am only middle aged, and somewhat cynical with what goes on in this country. Particularly when it concerns some of our upstanding politicians and police departments. I am not out to get "The Man" (thats a mature saying) I am just stating some things are unjust like some tickets. Did anyone watch the news last night in Vancouver? Real nice murder, stabbed over 30 times in the Hollyburn Country Club parking lot over a $$ loan, bargain plea down to manslaughter, judge gives him 5 years because he is a "good student" at UBC law school, and has no recollection of the murder and no previous record. now there is justice in action, he will be out in 2 years for good behavior, so that means 1 human life equals 2 years jail, 1 speeding ticket over 30 kmh equals over $500.00. Sorry doesn't equate in my little pea brain. But hey thats just my opinion, you want to go on paying your tickets and taxes, thats your opinion, I can accept that, can you accept mine without personnaly attacking me?? [/QUOTE]Absolutely!! Cheers, Jim [ |

nuts4bmw's pictures | and, what makes matters worse, he's a law student. If he finishes his degree he'll be a lawyer with a murder coinviction! Is the Bar Association crazy enough to let someone who was convicted of murder to practice law? Anyone here a laywer who can answer that? |

| Senior Member | Heres an update, got my trial notice 1 and a half years later. Went to court Mr Policeman brought in the wrong files! What a laugh, for everyone who showed up for court he had to withdraw all charges. I also can't believe these cops, its like lets make a deal before court starts, everyone just plea bargains their charges down, this doesn't have anything to do with safe or unsafe driving. It is no more than a tax grab, they aren't concerned with public safety, just how much money they can squeeze out of Joe public. |

| Member | One must understand the system, I think....... Car = asset....driver's license = address (another asset) and known whereabouts of individual with some assets...... all of this = "low hanging fruit".......... if not guilty, fight it...... if guilty, you are low hanging fruit with money but you may as well just pay it. |
