Don't do it!

They may have the lowest price for insurance and there is reason for that. They will insure any risk but when it come down to putting in a claim you will find out why the cost of the insurance is so low.
For Auto Insurance CDI have their own labour rate and a lot of body shops will charge the vehicle owner the difference in the labour rate or not take on the job.

Try CNS, BCAA, or Family for insurance.

I was speaking to a friend who owns a body shop in town and he said there are only two shopes in town (not his) who will handle Canadian Direct claims. They are so bad they will say things like don't remove anything, but rather mask it off.
You get the idea...
Cheers,
jim

My mom has been insured with CDI for years now, and not had a problem so far.

I looked into them for my Volvo, a couple years ago. It was an 06 V50 AWD. CDI was actually MORE expensive than ICBC in that case.

Ing Direct also has private coverage. I heard they are very good. Talk to your insurance broker about them

Al, has your Mom had to make a claim with CDI?

Personally, I'd never take my insurance to a company that I couldn't deal with face to face if I needed to.

I have been using Family for 8 years, they are the best I have ever experienced. They use certain body shops to do their estimates.Once they estimate is done youcan have them do the work or take you car to any shop of your choice.
