Run over by own car!!!!

ok, so I have to share this story with you guys. My cousin's boy friend recently purchased a piece of shit VW rabbit that happen to have a remote start installed on it. It has not been working properly so last night he was trying it out. Now the ebrake is broken too so the car is sitting there ( on a hill) in gear. He decides to try the remote........ the car surges forward..... to his shock ( ) so he runs towards the car thinking it's going to keep rolling..... but it stops ( cus the engine didn't turn over completely). This remote actually tries to turn the car over three times with a few sec delay between each start..... so as he's running towards the car it tries to start agian, same result.... it just cuts out, just as he gets to the car and puts his hands on the front of the car to keep it from rolling anymore the car actually starts......... he now is getting pushed down hill by his own car.... he tries to roll off to the side but slips and the car runs right over him. Then it continues for a bit and runs into the neighbours car and stops.

The tires ran over his head and back. He spent the night in the hospital and lucked out with just a broken collar bone and some really good tire marks all up his back and across the side of his face. The doctors could not believe that's all he suffered.

The poor kid....... but wow, hahahahaha..... what a dumbass!!!

Wow...

I hollered out loud reading through that one (just place the visual scenario in your head and it's pure comic gold...). Sooo incredibly lucky that he wasn't injured more severely, or even worse...

Thanks for sharing the hilarious story. I needed a good buckling-over...

I'm still kind of puzzled... his head is STRONG! I bet it's steel. Or he had a previous head accident and got an implanted steel head! Now he's got a nogon...

I have a similar story, also involving running over someone in a VW Rabbit! Weird, eh?

YEARS ago, my first car was an 84 GTI. One night, I was getting ready to go out, and went out to start my car. My brother and a bunch of his friends were also getting ready to head out. My car was idling in the driveway, but I had to run back into the house for a second. While I was doing that, my brothers buddy set a case of beer down, behind my car

I come outside, hop in my running car, beer behind it, and back down the driveway. CRASH! I run over the beer. I stop, see it in the driveway, only 2 unbroken bottles. I look at my brother's friend, and ask who's beer it is. He says it was Rob Lyden's. OH SHIT! Rob was nuts, and already drunk. I see him walking down the driveway now, looking at his 10 broken beers. He SNAPPED, grabbed one of the unbroken ones, and starts to throw it at my car. I tried to speed away, but he ran in front of my car, as I was dropping the clutch in the street. I tried to steer around him, but instead, ran him over!!! Knocked him down, drove over his legs, and took off. I stopped about 20 feet later to make sure he was ok.

Not only was ROb ok, but he had got up, and started running for my car. He ended up putting his fist through my window, and tried to rip me from my car!!! I got away with my life, but he kept running after me for another 50' or so.

Next day, my brother tells me I broke both his ankles, and tore up his knee. He spent some time in hospital, but was fine in the long run.

I KNEW Rob was crazy, and if I stopped, I was dead(he was 22, I was 16), so I had no choice but to take off. Imagine getting run over, breaking both ankles, tearing up a knee, and then RUNNING after a car, and smashing it's window!!!!!! Scary shit.

Anyway now I'm rambling, but thought I'd share my story of VW Rabbit's running people over. Seems if you're gonna get run over, try to make it a Rabbit.lol

Wasn't he mad after though? I can only imagine if he was pissed about the beers being broken, but later his legs were broken too?

Luis,

He was mad, for sure. But he knew he was an asshole, and it was his fault. By the time he healed up, it was all good. I still talk to Rob from time to time. He's matured a lot as he got older. He's a prison guard in Ontario now!

Mike,

When I was 16, I never ran from anyone, as I wouldn't now. But Rob Lyden was NUTS, and posessed super human strength. Summer after I broke his ankles, he was at a party, pissed drunk, got mad, and RIPPED AN 8' LONG WOODEN FENCE OUT OF THE GROUND, AND THREW IT ACROSS A BACKYARD!!! It was anchored into the ground with cement. Dude was a freak of nature. I wanted no part of having him tear me limb from limb.

Al

ps - When I said he put his fist through my window, I should clarify. My window was CLOSED when he did that. He smashed it out, and tried to grab me. No easy task to punch out the side window of a car!
