Blakeoffire's pictures | Pics of my Euro 635CSi I've never really shared any pics of the 6 with you guys so I thought I'd finally take a moment here to do so. I've always preferred shooting pics of the 6 at night as its mysterious character just seems to accompany that type of light more effectively. The chrome shines/reflects just a little more dramatically; the paint is thicker and deeper; the lines of the E24 are more prominent and menacing; the overall classy nature and muscular, aggressive stance of the sharky E24 appearing to be in its favoured surroundings once the sun goes down and false light takes over. Yet, on thursday I was immediately taken with the late-afternoon glows and shadows that the leaves on all of the newly blooming trees were casting throughout the neighbourhood (it's nice to see shady canopies again). Therefore, out came the Russian to snap pics of ze German... Hope you enjoy, Blake Last edited by Blackice; 02-01-2009 at 11:49 PM.. |

| Senior Member | Great looking 6er, Blake. I especially like the M seats, where did you get those? They look similar to the E28 M5 units. I think those M-Parallels would be perfect an inch smaller, but that's a minor quibble. Do you do your own detailing? Those cars look outstanding. |

I use photobucket. Yeah I'm glad you asked, your cars are too beautiful to have "TurboCivic" splashed across the bottom of their pics!

Blakeoffire's pictures | Thanks Vince ^^ ... (and Jason) Those are the seats that came stock with the car, minus the M-tech badges, which was my own personal touch. Yes indeed, I was originally looking for 17's but these came along... they were staggered... price was decent. I'm anticipating the install of the H&R's and strut-bar which will drop the front-end about 1.25", thereby closing the fender gap a little more and tightening-up the suspension somewhat. Nothing too drastic though. All of the very few, very minor mods I'm performing are purely based on personal driver-comfort and with keeping the integrity of the car intact along the way. It's not my intention to alter the car in such a way so that it cannot be taken back to bone-stock one day.... All detailing is handled by yours truly..... plus, it helps that they never see a drop of rain either .... B. |

| Senior Member Supporting Member | The springs will do wonders for the overall vibe. I love that color... one of the best BMW came up with... it's sporty and classy at the same time. It really sets off the chrome. Damn, I wish I could have a e30 and an e28. Lucky man, Blake. I know you tend to swap looks around quite a bit, so I'm really looking forward to your next set of wheels. I'd vote for something that matches the old tart's age... another set of RS's perhaps? or if you want to be a bit more modern these would look dangerous; http://www.euromcars.com/parts/e34m5/wheels/bbs42.htm We'll need to have a Sport-Auto drag! See who is King of Slush-box. Would you consider a 5-speed swap? Any other plans for her? |

Blakeoffire's pictures | Carter, Thanks for the link/wheel-vote... now you've got my head dancing, once again, with future wheel options for the 6.... I really do like the M-parallel wheels on the 6 (clean, not blingy, aggressive/sport-ish) but I probably wouldn't pass up a chance to nab a set of staggered 17" (10" rears) BBS RS's or those older super deep-dish Borbet Felgen's, also in 17" staggered (10" rears). I was also looking for 17" staggered Alpinas... but those are rare and difficult to come by though. Future plans? Not too much more, other than what I noted previously. I've addressed the important mechanical issues so now I'm really just into driving the beast as much as possible. No 5spd swapage plans though... I'd prefer to keep her original. One day I'll hunt down that Euro E24 M6... Slush-box drag..?!.... you're on!! B. |

Though, I'll be hunting down an Euro M635 one day... Oh yeah, sorry...my German isn't up to par... (felgen = rim). These were the 17x8, 17x10 Borbets that I was considering tracking down...![]() ![]() B. p.s.- Mike, gotcha at the top of the list my friend. | |
