Wow... sharp.
I've always thought the e24s/e28s wore pinstripes and decals well... makes them feel very 80's. I especially think the "over the top" Alpina decals work well. Closest thing that would make sense for our cars is the m-tech stripes... which are pretty cool.

Ooooh I couldn't agree with you more on that point. My late-model e24 (and the one I pictured with the Borbets) have the more subtle, equal-in-size, dual stripes that run the entire length of the body (mine having a light-blue stripe running above a black stripe). But I like the early-model's larger, dual-arcing e24 stripes even more.

The Alpina decals are.. just...

I had some fun a few years ago, coming back from the interior on the bike. An older guy in a euro M6 and I really had a good pace going heading into Hope, and this guy could drive. Most beautiful M6 I've seen, black with the motorsport pinstriping.

here are some mtech stripes I've come across lately... would love to do something similar with my car when it comes to re-spray time...
