| Just wanted to point out that all E30's use the same dash. However, there is a slight addition of a rivoted bracket on airbag equipped cars. Not a huge deal but a difference nonetheless. I recommend using 3 (or more) small container/dishes to put the screws/bolts in during disassembly. 1 for the drivers side, 1 for the center console, 1 for the passenger side. This will help narrow down the choices between bolts/screws. It's also a good time to do any wiring work such as adding aftermarket gauges, changing OBC unit and things of that nature. Try not to damage the plastic wiring holders that run along the top of the dash. You will need to reuse them. It's very helpful to have a 2nd person assist with the removal and installation due to the non adjustable steering column. Don't forget to swap in good vents and the VIN plate onto the new dash. It's a very tedious but rewarding job. Set aside 3-4 hours and take your time. |
