Z4 3.0 Shifter in 1991 318is?

So i've done a fair bit of research and reading online, and decided I want to swap a Z4 3.0 shifter into my car. I've read it's pretty notchy and stiff, but that's ok with me. I read all the threads here on the topic, and it seems a full kit can be ordered online for around $80 shipped. I'm on a budget and looking at pulling a shift lever off a Z4 at an autowrecker here in bc.

So what are the minimum parts required for this swap? Would it be just the Z4 shift lever and new bushings?

I wouldn't recommend the 3.0 shifter. I have that particular one and it's super notchy. I would say my shifts are now about 30% slower than with stock due to the notchiness. But the shifts are super short though. Try the 2.5 shifter, it's a bit longer throw but not as notchy.

If you do the swap, new bushings and lever is all you really need. Good luck!
